Detective goes undercover trying to infiltrate a group of thieves. He uses a girl as his "in" to the clique. His investigation leads the FBI to a raid on the wrong group of criminals. He's forced to realize that his newfound friends are in fact the criminals that he's after, but his feelings for the girl are clouding his judgment. Etc. Etc.
