proper water PH

  1. ok so Ive got a question for the experienced. If we want our water to be at a PH of 6 - 6.5
why is it that everyone suggests rain water as a perfect source of PH balanced water, when rain water has a natrual PH of 5 - 5.5. Its slightly acidic. So why do I want rain water as opposed to a 6.0 or 6.5 ph water????
i grow mine outdoors and indoors. i ise as much sun.as possible, but in winter months i must keep it vegging inside under lights. Ive thought any rain water was balancing my PH out, but just googled it and rain water is acidic. So why is it.good to use then??

  2. rainwater pH varies by location, hence acid rain. The rainwater where I am tests at around 8.5 regularly because I thought about going that route this season. In the end though it tested higher than my tap water so I figured I would just stick with tap.

  3. everything ive read says the standard rain is 5.o to 5.5 except some areas have acid rain which is 4.0. ive seen nothing that suggest that high of a ph in rain anywhere. what area are you located?

  4. i just looked...washington. Dude your in a radiation zone from Japans nuclear disaster in 2010. its still making radiactive water and its spread across the pacific. it just made land fall on usa west coast a few weeks ago. Thats why your ph is so crazy, im sure of it.
