Promix bx

I use pro mix and love it, I add perlite to mine for better drainage and some people add guano or castings for food but I don't

 

I've heard good things, what stores carry it? Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart?

its great stuff.......just be warned that if you are trying to go organic, promix contains a chemically based wetting agent called AquaGro. advanced sunshine mix #4 would be a similar product that doesnt have this wetting agent in it.

again, promix is great stuff. i highly recommend.

Yup, I use promix as well, it's good shitttt.

 

Also keep in mind pro mix is soilless mix so you want your ph at 5.5-6.1

 

why do you want to keep it so much lower?

and why dont you guys just get the promix hp? doesnt that already had perlite in it?

Its a soilless mix has peat perlite and something else, trust me soilless is the way to go

There is no soil in it. Peat is not soil, it is inert.

 

trying ProMix BX for the first time this year, Mandala Seeds says it sucks and to avoid it but more people say it is good if you add a little organic nitrogen and phosphate to the mix after you start the seeds in straight promix.
