So I normally go all organic soil but im incorporating some nutes this year. I'm not sure i get ppm. Is ppm the amount of fertilizer in relation to the amount of water you're mixing it with? I'm just not getting ppm I've read the other posts too.
Simple generic answer is yes. . Your meter is actually measuring the electric conductivity in the solution created by salts in the nutes and then converting it to Parts per Million
What type of growing medium are you using hydro, soil, soiless like coco? PPM is more important in hydro set ups then it is in soil based grows. In soil based grows PH is the important reading. If you start with a good organic soil and go with organic nutes once you start adding chemical based nutes or additives your going to slowly kill off the beneficial microbes in the soil.
