how much power does a 600 hps use? what would it cost to run a month? would it be compareable to running say an 800 watt electric heater ? would it cause a power spike in an apartment...............
well considering its a 600w hps i would say its gonna use 600w an hour which you can calculate cost based on that. Also man if your worried about getting busted or something from a jump in the electric bill you wont and if the 800w heater is constantly going then obviously the light would be less usage than the heater.
Look at your electric bill for the price per KwH. 600w x 18h x 30days/1000 = 324 KwH per month. Take that and multiply by how much you're being charged. My guess would be you'll pay about $40/month.
