Pot is legal in Canada

  1. Pot is NOT legal in Canada and stating otherwise is just dumb.

  2. They fixed this loophole years ago.

  3. This is not just stupidity, and if you look at the link, with cases being thrown out as recently as Feb 2008, it is not years out of date.

  4. I don't know anything about the loophole being fixed, but pot is not legal in Canada. However, the possession of small amounts isn't strongly enforeced and our justice system is far more liberal then the american one, which operates around more of a police state mentality.

Also, marijuana is more culturally acceptable to the public in Canada, however so long as we have a prime minister who is entrenched in following the american ideals and suggestions we maybe in trouble. Take a look at Bill C-26 proposed by Stephen Harper, its an amendent to the drugs and controlled substances act that would create mandatory jail time for all offenders with any kind of large amount. This would pick on the source of our weed and would probably cause the involvement of organized crime in the distribution of pot to rise, as well as the price.
