Reppin' the early 2008 white Macbook here... nothing special. 2 gigs of RAM, 2.1 ghz Core 2 Duo, 1280x800 13.3" screen, running Leopard and Arch Linux, some kind of integrated Intel video chipset (which saves me SO many headaches on Linux!).

I'll upgrade to Snow Leopard when I damn well feel like it.

Hahaha yea but this laptop is actually brand new. I mean, I was shocked to find it was a single-core. And when did you buy that first Macbook lol?

 

Summer 2006. But yeah, mine was dual core... right at the start of Apple's Intel move.

My girlfriend has it now and it still works like a charm. If you don't game much, there's no problem at all with said specs.

 

Haha actually with Windows 7 and many tabs in Firefox it sorta matters, on my CPU meter my CPU is always at 100% and RAM at like 30% lol

 

i havent upgraded my comp since about 2004 (back then i was in school, now im flat broke lol) i did build it though. not a fan of ready-to-run comps (minus laptops)
