I have come across a couple articles where, when legalization has been brought up, addicts often are fearful and oppose the decision. I believe one article/video had interviewed a heroine addict in Mexico about the Mexican govt's decision to decriminalize the possession a small amount of ANY drug for personal use; her response was not in favor of it. And like I've said, I've seen that attitude a couple other places. I am curious... if we were to poll recreational users ("addicts") of cannabis, meth, cocaine, opium, heroine, etc, about whether they feel their drug of choice should be legalized, I wonder what the consensus would be? Consistent with what I have read, I'd imagine meth, coke, heroine addicts would be opposed to legalization (because they realize their lifestyle is awful). I would imagine cannabis user, across the board, would be pro-legalization (assuming they were not sellers). Your thoughts?
