  1. Here are a couple of my favorite poems.

    \t  Boy

    \t \t
    Blowing on the back
    of a naked neck,
    and whispering simple
    apologies
    with the terror and remorse
    of only the brave.
    The tears
    are unfelt and
    unseen by
    the boy.
    And a mother's scream
that must surely wake the dead,
    does nothing but rattle
and bounce from wall to wall.

    Delia

    There is terror
    behind those eyes
    that have not lost
    that last breath yet.

And the terror would make me cry
    but I am stone,
    I cannot break.
    And she turns,
    feeble with grief,
    from the life she wanted,
    that she needed.
    She is scared.
    She is alone.
    And she turns,
    away from my body.

    Gallows

    The public square, a killer
    Blindfolded
    Bound, even gagged
no escape, no remorse, no love
    the wait
    the jeers the taunts
    the signal
    the end
    the spectacle of death.
