I have this poem, can anyone tell me the meaning behind it? Bend your soul to Nature's whim Illusions wrought in choice Listen for the unsung hymn Sustained without a voice Bind the mindless wretch inside To all ungodly laws abide Pray to reap the Seraph's place Condemned to apathy's embrace.
Swift words slicing, Drip like vitriol on your mind Lyrical genocide slides by, undying Seething beyond time, flying Waiting for absolution in a black velvet gloom finally resolved, turns to dust in a tomb. How about this one?
If anyone cares: The first poem is about mans struggle between the laws of nature, the laws of god, and the laws of other men and how little freedom you actually have. The first one is based on how much more powerful words are as a weapon than anything tangible. The pen is mightier than the sword sort of thing.
