Anyone use weed to help with PMS?
I get HORRIBLE mood swings. I mean shouting, crying, the urge to break shit and throw stuff.
I swear, I'm actually a sweet person the rest of the month.  :)

If you have use it to alleviate PMS symptoms, what strains can you recommend?
Do you smoke indica or sativa?

My PMS has been so bad today, I haven't been able to work.
My brain is so angry I can't think enough.

    Thanks.

    Edit:
For those who are also interested, I did some Googling (yeah sorry prob. should have done that first) and found some helpful information.

  2. Pms is a lie. The goverment just invented it to turn women into bitches for a week so we would buy more drugs and hard liquor

    ㅠ ㅑㅅ cㅗ ㄴㅁ ㅛ ㅈㅁ ㅅ

  3. You can kill my penis with your vagina, if you'd like.

lol, seriously though, indica would probably be the best, though none of that is gonna stop you from being influenced by hormones.

  4.
I get where you are coming from.

But through personal experience and introspection, I don't believe what I am feeling has been caused by the statements of outside sources.

  5. ..just what they want you to think...insidious bastards!

  6. Kill them! I'm on your side but don't know the right answer....

I'd help you out if I could

  7. my wifes usual consumption about doubles during her lady times because it greatly helps her...cramps, spasms, mood swings, helps her sleep a lot which is goodd, plus shes always nauseous as fuck during so it really helps with munchies/eating.

  8.
my consumption doubled during my exs periods too...

  9.
Yes, I feel terrible for my husband and all who have to deal with us.
I try to just keep my mouth shut or go in the other room if I know I am being a bitch.

  10. Try brewing up an oz of weed and an oz of hop flowers in a couple of cups of olive oil. Simmer for a few hours on low heat; strain out the plant matter. Take one tablespoon every eight or ten hours. It probably won't taste very good but should fix you up and you will sleep well at night.

  11.
    This sounds quite specific!
    Thank you for sharing.
I'm really curious though, how did you come about this method?

  12. To a large extent I'm making an educated guess for you since I have never had pms or treated it in someone else. However old age tends to make one cranky too.

I treat my epilepsy with a concentrated tincture as well as make a topical oil infusion for skin issues. My mother-in-law and wife sometimes have difficulty sleeping so I wanted something Cannabis that was not racy or highly euphoric but would encourage calm and restfulness. Hops are slightly seditive so I tried it in the oil extraction. Seems to work for sleep.

I suggest a low temp infusion so the weed is not too much decarbed. Lower THC that way and higher THCA. You could also go in the other direction and extract at a high temp and turn more THC into CBN which is more seditive. Since us kitchen alchemists have no way of exactly measuring these things be prepared to experiment.

  13. FYI- Hops extracts were used as an anesthetic in the centuries before modern medicine and is a "1st cousin" to cannabis.

And sweetie, try taking a double dose of Omega 3 /fish oil daily. Walmart has it on sale about half the time for about $10. Omega 3 helps to regulate mood and keep you saner! :yay:

I want you to go to your kitchen and look at the cooking oils you have- Dollar to a doughnut, you have all Omega 6 oils- which is NOT good! Here is a chart to show you about your oils-

Good Oils and Fatty Substances http://www.math.ucsd.edu/~ebender/Health%20&%20Nutrition/Nutrition/oil_good.html

And to make this look even better, Omega 3 will help improve your high!   :yay:

Here's what is going on- To make working CB1 receptors (and likely other receptors, too), you NEED omega 3!

    Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions.   (abst – 2011)           http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21278728

“In n-3-deficient mice, presynaptic cannabinoid CB(1) receptors (CB(1)Rs) normally responding to endocannabinoids were uncoupled from their effector G(i/o) proteins.”

That means, "In Omega 3 deficient mice, the CB1 receptor does not get hooked up to the G i/o receptor protein, the next piece in your body's messaging system, the endocannabinoid system". Since the CB1 receptor is also what gets you high, having dud receptors cuts into your potential maximum high!  The message "I feel good today" doesn't make it into your brain cells, so you feel bad!  Add a few "raging hormones" and all of a sudden, you are an emotional mess!

    Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for this helpful detailed response.

That resonates with me very much.

I need to be more careful with my omega intake because I have been vegan for 5 years now.
I take Ovega - 3 Non fish Omega DHA and EPA 500mg. However I sometimes forget.
Each pill has 320 mg of DHA and 130 mg of EPA.

I have olive oil in the cabinet, but I rarely use it.
Thank you for the extra push to get more omega 3s!

not to go against your beliefs but my naturopathic medical doctor said that being vegan relies on who your ancestors were and if they are heavy meat eaters you could be setting your self up for health problems by going vegan.  I was vagan for 4 years- what a crazy alert and enjoying time but have since been eating meat and just regulate it more consciously.  I call vegans guinea pigs because we do not know the final outcome of dramatic diet change on the passed down DNA we are left with( parents) unless you are from a country where vegetarianism is the norm for thousands and thousands of years.
