found these on a site undedr energy saving bulbs (commonly known as CFL's) im wondering if these will work for growing (ill be using 3 warm white and 3 coolwhite) http://www.thelightbulbcompany.co.uk/product/PLLCompact.html the 55 watters.
They're fluorescents, so they'll work just fine. But the lumen output is not stated, so you'll be a guinea pig no matter what. Also, they use different sockets, keep that in mind.
Go for it. I'm very interested to see how effecient these things are, looks almost easier than CFL's if you use custom wiring. Keep me posted, or start a journal.
could anybody find me a uk site that has the fixtures to plug these 4pins into? ive been searching and cant find anything!
