Plenty vaporizor ($349)

  1. Hey everyone,
has anyone tried this new vaporizor from Storz & Bickel called Plenty? I recently purchased this to replace the NO2 Vapir. I wasn't getting enough vapor from the NO2 and heard that the Plenty burns a superior quality of smoke. Any thoughts?

  2. I would actually recommend the Arizer Solo, the PAX, or the Thermovape.

Each are portable vaporizers that are much, much better than the Plenty in my opinion, as well as being significantly cheaper.

Don't get me wrong, I love Storz & Bickel. I use my Volcano every day. I do think, though, that there are many better-priced options that have performed much better for me.

  3. To me the Plenty is overpriced, but most (especially newer) vapes are. $199 would be much more reasonable for what it is imo.

Performance wise I think most people are generally happy with it.

The main downsides reported are that it takes a lot of herb to load the chamber (some people claim you can just pack a lot and hit it all day) and the unit doesn't stand up on its own so you have to hold it with the handle. The engineering on it just seems a little weird to me, kind of awkward.

People claim flavor is on par with the best vapes i.e. cloud because it has a pure vapor path and a long stem to cool the vapor.

If you have the money to blow and really want it then go for it. You can get something that performs just as well for under $200 if you want. If it were me I would go with another option, you can get a solo for $160 or a log vape like an underdog/HI or even the pax at $250 if you are going to be mostly portable. SSV and DBV and Extreme Q are always good options under $200...

Go watch some youtube vids on the plenty and see if it looks like its worth it to you.

  4. I own the plenty and the volcano as I'm sure most people on here know now.. but the plenty is the closest you'll get to volcano quality vape, without shelling out all the money. There are other vapes out there but s&b has been around forever using 100% tested and approved materials with high quality heating systems. There are cheaper vapes but when people say that 350$ is a rip off when people buy 1000$ bongs is a bit silly.

If you're interested , go for it.. nothing is better than getting what you want... Right? :)

  5. How is the Plenty for solo vaping? I love my Volcano but find it's more then I need when I vape alone.

The bowl is kind of the same size but it comes with a little pad that you can use to fill the rest of the chamber if you don't want to fill it all the way. I used it for solo Vaping 95% of the time and I never had any problems.

Couch friendly too, used to fire up some top gear and watch that with the plenty right next to me, it gets warm, but nothing serious. I love the plenty :3

  7. Kind of completely off-topic, but I was wondering what your favorite temperature setting on the Volcano is?

Although I have read every thread on fuckcombustion.com, and have experimented with countless temperatures for the past three years, I have actually found that I enjoy putting about .2-.3 in the valve and then using a three foot bag with the temperature maxed out to "cash" the tiny bowl, but to have all the vapor it can produce.

It gets me really high, and it seems to last me just as long as when I was putting it as 6 or 7.5, and I get much more consistently high this way.

What are your preferences? I'd love to hear what temperature another happy Volcano user vaporizes at.

Not to sound like a cockbag, but I use the digital lol
I have heard in a couple places that for the classic you should do 6.5-7ish. I usually vape at 420 degrees (lol) and if I load the bowl up all the way I do 410 just to have it last about one more bag. If I remember correctly 6.5 is around 370 and 7 is 390ish , but I don't have the classic so I don't know :(

It seems that with most vapes, turning it up that high would combust it, but even with the plenty you can see it goes all the way up to 420 and they promise it will never combust, which I can vouch for :p.

So if you can find a temp guide (cause I'm too lazy lol) I usually go 420 for about 3-5 bags depending on the amount, but I usually keep the temp there, just a better high imo
Edit: if you're only filling one bag, you should try a couple more as long as the temperature isn't scorching you should be able to get at the very minimum 2 bags from a .2g. If you think there's no vape cause its looking clear, just exhale towards a light and you will see how much vape you're still exhaling.

I'm on the mobile app right now so typing is a bitch.. sorry lol

  10. That plenty is no joke :) the way it enhances the taste of sour diesel with like 50x more smoke than a bong hit... truly amazing. The only negs are there's no standing allowed so it falls over constantly, the heat starts to decline after 5min of setting it down- so you need to wait a minute or two for it to re-heat up to normal temperature, and also the chamber is huge and needs to be filled to the brim in order to work properly. I can never finish in one sitting. For me, anything past 3 hits of this thing is herb abuse :p I think +10 hits is needed to cash 1 load. I got it for $300, which may not be worth it, but i'm glad I got it. i'm definitely gonna try the arizer solo but for now the Plenty does it right!

  11. overpricing be damned I just caved in and ordered this bad boy so my classic Cano has a little brother to play with

It's not over priced, you're going to love it.. I promise lol

  13. I run a digi volcano and a plenty and I like the uplifting sativa high personally so I always keep my vapes at 157-180C depending on what kinda of hi I want and try to never hit 185 to avoid the CBN.
don't really like the high off it. and I'm all about quality when it comes to gettin baked. on the plenty I never leave my bowls idle for more than the 5-7 seconds to hold then exhale if I can help it lol. hate it when a bowl goes stale and the first part of the bowl is the best so ya..
plus if i'm going to save my vaped weed for oil seems pointless to vape at higher temp or past where the bowl gets a stale taste.

  14. I feel like you really get what you pay for with the Plenty, it provides a thick, pure vapor and isn't wasteful. Having said that, there are a couple weird things (doesn't stand on its own, very large herb chamber), I still think its worth it.

  15. I have had mine for about a year and love it, but it is the only vape I have tried so I don't have anything to compare it to. The chamber is big but I always use the pad and solo vape almost all the time. I always set it on the max temperature. I'm intersted to hear any comparisons between it and others. I got it because I had heard of Storz and Bickel and figured it would be made to last.
