So I have a few plants I have been switching to outside and inside, been basically doing 24/7 lights but I want to give them some sunlight during the daytime. So yea anyways they look pretty healthy to me besides the lower leaves, but when I gave them water they seem to go back to normal.

Anyways i'm watering about 2-3 times a week, basically using the check the soil method to see if the first two inches seem dry. They aren't really growing too much taller they just seem to be kinda stuck the last 2 weeks not really doing anything besides the leaves in the armpits getting bigger. (At first I thought these were going to be calyxes but they turned out to be more leaves.

Been using Flourescent bulbs from Lighting of America (walmart) T8s at i think it was 6500K and I think the wattage was around 100watts or something close. They aren't showing signs of having a nute imbalance I don't think.

    Here are some pics.  1606893_769823479714867_5755305848766719114_n.jpg 10369137_769823383048210_7648460489215061442_n.jpg 10419638_769823343048214_4197225731904600868_n.jpg 10445978_769823486381533_7375985188479101845_n.jpg 10300292_769823353048213_8977400965158501271_n.jpg 10402918_769823336381548_4186907336436627709_n.jpg 10444570_769823379714877_8835090965198342768_n.jpg

{ALSO I WANT TO ADD THAT I TOOK THESE PICTURES THIS MORNING AND AFTER HAVING SAT IN THE SUN ALL DAY AND HAVING BEEN WATERED THE LEAVES ARE STANDING UP HIGHER!} My plant seems like she is healthy but it's just not growing fast enough in my opinion. I feel like I am missing SOMETHING!

Its been about a month now. (30 days) Do they look like they are growing fast enough lol cause honestly they look like they are growing SUPER slow. My guess is my flourescent bulbs arent providing enough lumens.

Anyhow, thanks for the support people!

    One love

  2. They look so tiny👈

  3. I know that is what I am concerned about lol. To me if they werent getting enough light I dont see how they would survive but it is weed which is called as such for a reason it grows like no matter what but I have been giving it what I believe to be sufficient light. Would the room they are in being a bit chilly cause they to grow more slowly? I can move them to a different room I suppose if it being like 74-75 is too cold. I also have a fan blowing near them to help circulate air to get them more Co2

  4. Ok so, I went ahead and checked my bulbs. I am only getting about 64 watts. I am going to buy another flourescent station and use 2 more bulbs. 3 bulbs - 96 watts of 6500k and 1 32 watt at 3000k. I am going to continue doing 24/7 lights and see if they start growing faster.

    Thanks lol

  5. Have you started nutes yet?

I agree, they do look hungry.

  7. The bulbs you are using are great to slowly vegetate clones and plants that are in 4" containers :) Get a 400 hps and they will start growing right away!

  8. Well, first off I'd say they look a little light in color, starting you yellow.  They probably need some nitrogen, if you haven't started feeding you should.

And while it's true that weed will grow "pretty much anywhere" like you said, it only grows big, juicy, tasty buds when you give it LOTS of light, and the appropriate amount of air, water, and nutrients! So, I would start throwing it under more lights.  I myself veg with about 140 watts of CFLs, until they're ready to be put under the main 400w light, and veg for another couple of weeks.

  9. I am surprised no one has mentioned over watering?? 2-3 times a week is way too much for such small plants... If it was a light issue they would be much taller (they would stretch to find light) and nodes would be further apart. Over watering would also leach all the nutes out of the medium over the course of 30 days too so they need some N. Now you have to feed plants that are over watered (a catch 22). HPS is not for vegging and is not the answer to every problem like some people on this site think... CFL is much better for vegging. I will put my 27 day old plants up against any MH / HPS set up...These are 3 gal tubs sprouted on 5/20.

  10. Yes they are definitely light in color idk this is my first grow so i am always learning but yes I was using some nutes but it was a 15-30-15 blend so I think maybe i was giving too much nute? Not sure, I went ahead and flushed them with 2 gallons of just ph balanced water at around 6.0 and they seemed to really enjoy that. I waited until the soil dried up a bit and then watered them again with some nutes and today the calyxes popped and im pretty sure they are showing to be girls. I just wanted to do a test run I will get the proper tools and such later. Here is some of the current pics. This is about 2 months into the grow.

I also realized the soil i am using is really crappy, i need to be able to adjust my PH to a degree, and sufficient light is all a problem with this grow. I will do more research before starting my next grow. (Also I want to throw in the seeds I used were from some reggie, "we call it Ktown here cause its not actually all that bad", so i think that is playing a huge role in the growth.)

  11. Also could anyone inform me if having two plants in one pot would cause any issues? One of the plants in my pot seems to be leaching all of the nutes and water from the other plant which would be the only thing I could conclude would cause the shorter plant to be growing so slowly, however the shorter plant is growing more nodes. Not sure, like I said it's my first grow so....

    Thanks!

  12. Yes having them in the same pot is definately a problem. Wont get nutes/water evenly and the roots will get tangled I'd suggest transplant into some good soil if you're still trying to get these guys to grow

  13. Overwatering, 2 in the same pot, crappy soil. But we all learn. And also another thing could be the constant change in environment. What you should do is switch them to 18/6 and you will see better growth. And when it comes to watering judge by weight of soil in pot wet and dry you can tell a big difference. Hope that helps ya

Won't you help to sing, these songs of freedom.

  14. To piggyback off Stealthsmokerman's points about overwatering, 2 in the same pot and crappy soil - you're also using a crappy light. You'd have been better off purchasing a High Output T5 fixture than some T8 from Wal Mart which holds the purpose of lighting a garage or basement.

High Output T5 fluorescent bulbs are designed for growing. With that being said, you're still better off jumping into even a lower wattage MH/HPS fixture.

I myself use a 600W HPS fixture and supplement with HO T5 side lighting.

You have the right idea and definitely have done the proper research to get a better understanding of what you should and shouldn't do. Chalk it up as a learning experience. Do some research on soil first and figure out what makes sense for your needs. If you're someone who likes to constantly tinker with your plants, consider doing a soilless medium like Coco Coir which acts like a hydro and you don't have to worry about overwatering. Additionally, with coco, they're are less susceptible to disease and pests.

Just something to consider down the road! Good luck!  :bongin:

  15. 24/7 huh maybe that's it? plants in veg need a dark cycle even a small one

  16. lights on = top growth, lights out = root growth

  17. Some up-to-date pics of my plant.

    Enjoy :)

  18. More up to date, 3-4 days after my last post of pictures. At least they seem to be growing better than before.

  19. Anyone know if I should continue letting them grow until I get a sufficient yield? Because I heard that after a certain point the THC will deteriorate and will no longer give the same buzz that was originally desired. I was thinking of just letting them flower for another couple months and see how much I could yield unless they will eventually be useless. Someone more educated on the subject matter give some insight!!!

    Thanks!

    (Also this is about a month into the flowering phase. Using those T8s I have 3 32W @ 3000K and 1 T8 32W @ 6500K.)
