Planting directly in ground

  1. I need some advice on outdoor growing, which I plan to start this summer.

Should I start my seeds in pots and transplant them once or twice or should I just plant them directly in the soil. Keep in my mind I am making a small "bed" of potting soil, leaves, topsoil, etc.

I've heard that seeds that start in the ground do not become rootbound and grow much larger with greater yields. Opinions or personal experiences would be very helpful.

    Peace.

  2. definattely start in sprouting cups then transplant, its the only way to go

  3. could i start the plants in pots filled with potting soil and then transplant them into bigger pots or simply into the ground? are starter cups really necessary?

  4. keep in mind that transplanting does slow down growth a little bit, since the little sprout goes into mini shock from the change of conditions. just thought i'd add that
