Your palnt must have been topped. If it's outdoor maybe it was eaten on top by an animal or you pinched a bit off youself. This is a pruning method called topping.. Make one growth head two.. You just pinch off the top growth shoot, and the two that would be the inner node growth now become your two main top colas, and it grows in a y shape if topped once.. if you top twice you will have 4 tops, and 4,8 and so on..
