Hello guys, First time trying to grow some indoor buds about 1 month old plants . I am posting some pics of my setup and growth. Can I get some feedback as to how my plants are looking etc.
Looks good grasscity friend what kind of lights are those and whats in the orange pot lol ? Thats a small space eh 3 plants its really going to fill up that space once u put them into flower the first 2-3 weeks of the transiton to flowering they double to tripple in height.
I would top them once then wait a week n flip to 12 hrs light on 12 hrs total darkness. Cause there going to stretch unless u have another flower room. Or you can also look into low stress training .
I don't have any other flowering room , I took the idea of a "spacebucket" but made a bigger version of it. I plan to do some low stress training to bend the plants a little. In terms of growth and health how do they look? I planted them on the 03/06/2018. Iv'e been giving them about 18 hrs or so of light per day, roughly 8000 Lums. Should I continue this cycle until I can determine gender 100%? Or should I flip to 12/12 cycle now? Also when you say top up , you just mean in terms of the soil right?
The lights are 2x LEDS at 2300 Lums and 2x CLF 1450Lum eac. In the orange pot , thats some tissue. I used it for slow watering ;P. These plants were all planted at the same time , same place etc aswell. Also I have 4 plants because I am not 100% on the gender lol. So extras haha . Started with 6 plants at first . Look up "spacebucket" to get an idea of what I tried
Most of the time you cant tell the gender of the plant until the presex stage n that usually happens in the first week week in a half of 12-12 . U will see little calyx or balls forming balls mean male plant a female will shoot 2 white pistals out of the calyx. Males not good because if there in your room too long the pollen will burst from the sack n pollinate the female.
Al so topping no i mean rem9ving the tops so u dont have 1 big long bud you top them so the top turns into 2 big top buds n the plant get bushier my plant was 11 inches when i flipped it to 12-12 n this is it now ill take a pic the lights on. Also when u flip to 12-12 cycle u need to start giving them bloom nutrients at a weak formula.
Ahhhh Nice haha , Ok so you think in about a weeks time I should switch to 12/12 cycle? Um also its illegal to grow ,consume or sell in my country lol. So keeping my project Dlow hahaha. Man I hope my big boy plant isn't a male lol...
Ya i would research topping or fimming. Then top or fim them its very hard to mess it up. Then wait a week for the shock n new growth to start coming back then switch to 12-12. But u will need bloom nutrients and prob diff lights i dunno your spectrum colour. Just research flowering spectrum n topping or fimming . Hope i helped a bit happy growing. Ya n if you started yours in march there really small the one i showed you was started april from seed.
Looks pretty good man. However, it does look like you're starting to get some brown tips on your leaves which is probably nute burn. Try using just plain pH water on the next feeding or 2 to see if it corrects the problem. Also, you can cut the brown tips off the leaves *if* you want to... won't hurt anything. Then just keep an eye our for any more browning. Do you have a pH meter and check your runoff water? You're going to need some more room to flower, and you're going to need more wattage lights. Whatever size box/cabinet/etc you decide to use for flower, you'll need about ~50 watts per sq ft for flower (or ~30 watts if using quantum boards, COBs, or LED strips... NOT blurples..blurples need 50 watts too).
Ok thank you man , I will try that . I do not have a PH tester haha. Even while running LEDS and CFL im getting about 100W in that box
