Plant distance from light

    hey i'm planning on growing 2-3 plants with a 400w mh bulb for vegging. Approx. how far away should the plants be form the light as to not burn them? :confused:

    probably about 1 to 2 feet. i would go with a recommendation by one of the more experienced users.

    Test the light with your hand a certain distance away and if its too hot/uncomfortable then it will be too hot for your plants too.

    This.

    I run a 400w light sometimes as close as 4 inches from the plant though. If you're in a confined area, such as a closet, you should think of cooling the light w/ a coolable reflector and an inline fan.

    Mo light = Mo betta
