So I'm a senior in high school (just recently turned 18 for those mods out to get me) and I have already been accepted into a couple of colleges. But my big thing was I applied for Americorps NCC, which is pretty much just Peacecorps in the states. There were many reasons I applied but I really just wanted to take a year off of school, and this seemed like a great choice cause i just get to do manual work all the time and you get an educational grant upon completion of a year of service. But alas, I was wait-listed, so now I'm stuck going to school next year. Does anyone know of any programs of the sort that I would be able to do instead of Americorps? Anything would help, have a nice day GC.
