Placing lights to the side

    I have a single plant growing in a closet and I wanna put 2....23 watt cfl 6500k bulbs. Question? Would putting the bulbs on the side allow it to grow a bit horizontally saving space or would that just mess up the plant itself?

    leaf and flower sites are gonna grow towards the light source. Lots of people see lateral growth by supplementing HID setups with hanging HIDs around the side of plants ( Not TOO close though)

    cool...they should be used with a light on top also or can they be just strictly to the sides?

    If its CFLs You surround it with as many as you can find sockets for.
