One of my "bosses" (a co-owner of the business where I do my work) has asked all the employees to check out a webpage describing a "Personal Mission Statement". I've read through most of it (there are some typographical and grammatical errors in the article which I always find distracting) and, although I haven't found much in it that is news to me, the author has a few good points to make about setting goals for yourself. An interesting statement in his article: "Remember religion is just humanity's attempt to explain spirituality." I thought it was a good response to someone's remark about hating it when people say "I'm spiritual but not religious".
