Hello I am a first time grower and I am using a mix of: Pro-mix worm castings perlite dolomite lime and kelp meal I was curious if this is a soil 'less' medium as I've read? The problem being I have not had a very easy first grow and I was curious with this mix if I should be Ph'ing my water between 6.5-7 or between 5.8-6.5 as I read in my book about hydroponic and "Soil 'less'" mediums. I need an explanation what soil 'less' means and how I should ph this mix? Thank you all I appreciate all the help I can get
Soilless mediums are growing mediums with superior properties to soil. There free of disease, pests. Its not soil usually some blend of other materials.
