Depends on what kind of criminal. The lower class thieves, hoodlums, drug dealers and rabblerousers (such as my fine self) drive shitty, beaten up Falcons with dust and bird shit all over the windscreen/body of the car. The upper class corporate thieves, hoodlums and classy drug dealers drive more upmarket models. For instance, I know a 'drug family' (hard to explain, the whole family basically is involved in selling weed) who drive a pimped out Torago sort of thing. It's all variable, but the criminals with the big money will typically be the ones driving the nicer cars I'd tend to think... though they can just as easily be legitimate rich bastards who the cops can't fine because they've done nothing wrong. It sounds like the Republican Christian Right, the old conservative neo-cons and bible bashers who demand everyone uphold the glory of God, 1800's style. That's the impression I got, but you're right - for all we know, they could be Jesus Freak hippies who are very pro-legalisation and gay marriage. But the tone of the site seems a bit too serious, sombre and conservative to be such a thing, which makes me suspect it's the hardcore Christian right pushing this manifesto. If they are for states rights, then sure, that's an improvement over 'big' conservatives who want to keep such issues down at a national level. So they have their heart in the right place. It's probably more that Christians + politics freak me the fuck out, especially considering Tony Abbot, the opposition leader here and a Christian conservative nutjob. Guys like him make me naturally suspicious of anything like this, these Christian politicians/political movements always have some kind of ulterior motive and one that always seems to be against me and my ferociously non-religious stance.
You act like you can't be poor and believe in private property and capitalism. Like because peoole are poor they will want hand outs from the government and expect everyone to take care of them. The tea party is about freedom, And like it has been discussed a million fucking times. Government mandating lower prices on houses will not help anyone. Infact it will lead to a shortage of housing. I'm not in the mood to type the explanation but I can if you want. This is SIMPLE ECONOMICS. And the only reason tea partiers are having to show off there blacks or whatever is because the media is constantly trying to paint them as racist. Are you saying they are racist yet accept the blacks to show people there not racist?
You can be poor and believe in whatever the hell you want to believe - you can be rich and beileve in whatever the hell you want to believe in. But you'll generally find that the working class has grown to be quite skeptical of 'capitalism' as executed by smug politicians, big businessmen and tyrannical local bosses. That's how it is around here anyhow with my father and his line of work - unions predominate, a fierce disdain for the government and big business is prevalent, some of Dad's workmates are apparently rather openly Communist. And the Tea Party isn't really PRO anything I don't think, they're more just ANTI - anti-Obama, anti-socialism, anti-healthcare reform, anti-taxes, anti-immigration and whatnot. To claim they're 'about freedom' is kinda banal anyhow man, I think you could find many, many more organisations/parties that claim they are 'about freedom' than would claim they are 'against freedom'. You probably know what you're talking about and I probably believe you without going into a big explanation. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, I'm saying it's an issue that most poor people care about - housing being available so that, if stuff goes wrong, they're not straight out onto the streets. Once again, it's not a concern perpetuated by the Tea Party, and nor could you expect it to be - they're all up in their lovely, probably mortgaged houses and have enough rich relatives if they fall on hard times that emergency accomodation and government assistance in getting housing isn't something they care about. But yes, I'm not even American and I get fucking emails from 'Brave New World Foundation' or some bullshit telling me how racist the Tea Party is and how I should give them money to further expose how evil the right wing is. If this is anything to go by, I can almost understand why Dronetek gets so pissed off - it's straight out leftist populist propoganda, a scam. So I can see why the Tea Party is so eager to display blacks and minorities at their rallies, which is sad and racist in itself. The whole 'race' scenario is a mess, I can't understand why people can't fucking be colourblind and not make a huge deal out of race just to further their stupid agendas. And I'm halfheartedly saying "Yes" to your question, because they're so eager to use race as a means of saying "It's all good, we're not racist!" that they clearly are racist for making such a big deal out of race when it doesn't need to be. But the important part here is the 'halfheartedly', because I don't consider them 'racist' - like I say, they're very eager to be percieved as NOT being racist. If they were racist, they'd be threatening minorities and making their white pride very clear, which they're not doing. So I'm not going to go pointing fingers and accusing them of being racist when the reality is that they are CLASSIST in their agenda and such.

Well this isnt a european issue u guys embraced socialism long ago so the chance for your own tea party has pasted. Americans still have a chance of stooping socialism b4 it ruins our country like it did to many european countries. First, if you have not noticed, europe is steadily going more and more conservative. The delusions of the liberal multicultural political correct left is cracking up in full view of the electorate. Second, I am pretty sure smokinp is well aware of freedom of expression, and is no enemy of it. He might not see things as you do, or I for that matter, but all in all I find him a respectfull and honorable debater. Quite unlike some others who are in his "camp" so to speak. And to be fair, some who are in "my" camp. So take the little quibs with a light heart. He can't possibly know the repression of the Castro regime, have not lived under it, but do have some romantic ideas of it. Being more concerned with the ideal, rather than the real. A fallacy all who think in ideological or dogmatic terms eventually get trapped in. Indeed, a trap I was myself in, until I started questioning the dogmas of the left, and started taking a good hard look at the world and human nature as it really is. Took me a while, changing ones mind on a fundamental level is never easy. All I am trying to say is that, eventhough we might disagree, we should be civil about it. Think with our brains, not our hearts.
