  1. So i am planning on getting a pc grow going soon, just a quick question on smell. I saw some ways for a carbon filter, would i need one for the intake and outtake? Also I have a cat, how will he effect and react?

  3. ....No you want in on the intake.

Cats don't care, cannabis is related to catnip.

  4. lol those two answers dont help

also if there is no filter on the intake , wont my cat like be curious and try opening it

  5. If you cat gets close to an inline fan doing intake work it could break its paw/ neck/ anything that comes in contact with the blades.

You could use a filter on the outtake IF your room is sealed and allows no air transfer to your living area. Since thats not going to happen as I'm sure a door would need to be opened the only choice is to filter the air in the room by sucking it through a carbon filter in an intake.

  6. Passive intake with a carbon filter on the outtake fan... surely.

  7. wont the smell still get out through the passive intake?

  8. Negative pressure prevents this from occurring. The amount of air being exhausted is great enough so that no air can escape through the passive intakes, air is only sucked in. Provided that you have an adequate exhaust set-up. A good way to test this that I have found is put a piece of paper up to your passive intake hole and see if it pulls and holds it in place.

  9. Does any one seem to have problems with Passive intake and light leaking through the hole in your cab? I have a cabinet setup and I'm worried about light leaks through my passive intake holes

  10. Im planning on having an 80 or 120 mm exhaust fan, along with a 80 mm fan inside circulating the air

  11. I use a 90 degree pvc elbow for my intake facing down
