Hi, I'm majoring in Sociology and this semester i'm taking a class about Michel Foucault and Norbert Elias. I'm working my final assignment with an analysis of cannabis and its prohibition with the concepts used by Foucault. I'm planning on working on how the power-knowledge relation work on the way people relate to cannabis. Also I would like to trace the prohibition and the real reasons for it. Relating this to the way people have certain "scientific" knowledge that allows a regime of truth to control the way we use our body and cannabis. I would like you guys to help me with books or information I could use, maybe relate me to similar works. I'll try to post my progress.
