paint vs. mylar

  1. Have done my fair share of growing, and in multiple rooms. I have always used mylar in the past but trying to build a new room on somewhat of a budget. can anyone tell me if going the white paint route is a good idea. And if so what is the best paint to use?

  2. Flat bright white paint reflects about 85% of light, whereas horticulture-grade mylar (mirror finish on a roll) reflects about 92-94%. So paint is not as reflective but still ranks highly. You can use white primer, ceiling paint, pretty much anything that is bright white, just make sure it has a "flat" finish.

  3. mylar totally hands paint its ass.. no contest..

I have added mylar and its better than any other reflective I have used!!
