Organic PGR and Hormone Sources?

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by Full Spectrum, Feb 14, 2015.

  1. I know I've seen some threads with lists of various plant meals or extractions but can't find it anywhere. Does anybody kmow what im talking about?

I'm looking for the one with links to some specific hormones and how they should be in balance with each other. I don't juat wanna start throwing kelp and alfalfa at everything, lol or do I? ;-)

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Kelp and Alfalfa pretty much cover it for me and in that order.

^^^^  That about sums it up in a nutshell...  ^^^^

Do yourself a favor, get this book, and read it.  Several times.  This is the cheapest place I've been able to source it (compare to $42.91 at ol' Amazon.  Gimme' a break...  ).

This book will answer any and all questions about the goodies in kelp (specifically Ascophyllum nodosum, or "Norwegian sea kelp), how they work, what they do, and when to apply them.

Alfalfa's main benefit with regards to your question would be the PGR Triancontanol.  Start here...

And here's a study that's a bit more in depth and recent, click the link (in the link) for the full article...

  4. Well, you linking it here got me to buy it...finally.

  5. Lol okay... So keep throwing kelp and alfalfa at em, thanks...

I've seen that book before and could swear I've read it about 15yr ago. I'll pick up a copy and add it to the library.

I did find the link I was looking for, haven't had time to sort through it yet.

  6. Bet GiMiK has PDF versions of both.  :smoke:  :ey:

The king of PDF's for sure.

Now, if he could gather all of them together and have Chunk put them in the pinned "Organic Resources" thread ......... :confused_2:

  7. That would be awesome! I held off buying this for so long because its usually expensive, been looking for a pdf before. At the that price om that link there's no excuse, so I bought a spare just in case, lol

  8. I have seen it in pdf form but I highly recommend buying that one if you can. Worth every penny if you want to know more about using kelp in the garden.

I'll look again and pick it up...as far as the OR thread idea, I could do that sometime this week when I get a second.  :smoke:

  9. So that link i posyed wasn't the link i though it was, lol. Tons of information however, obviously it's not completed and is still a work in progress but it is really full of good info and thought provoking ideas. Of course i stole that link from LD.

I'm going to be picking up some seaweed extract and starting some tests. Couple of things off the top of my head are; Can I make my own extract with kelp meal and lacto? Do I have enough kelp and alfalfa in my amendment mix (30% by volume @ 1:1 kelp:alfalfa)? Cloning mix? Kelp/alfalfa tea instead of BSP?

    Good times :-D

  10. @waktoo
After over 2hrs of searching I still need to ask the question, is top link the book on kelp I'm looking for? (the, 'if you only have one, this is it', book) I do remember Fl being in there somewhere and that it was either you or GiMiK that had posted the link and now I have the funds to snag a hard copy.

It certainly feels right, but want to double check before plunking down the $$$.
    Thanks

  11. Yep. That's the one.

I ran across this some time ago. It's a quick synopsis of some of the information found in T.L. Senn's book. If you find any of it interesting/insightful, then go ahead and get the book. If you're already aware of much of the info' contained in the article, then I'd skip purchasing the book. I personally didn't find anything in the book "earth shattering" as far as botanical revelations are concerned, but I am glad to have it in my library. I know you're on a budget...

  12. :thankyou: :thankyou:

Started to go with the link till the very end when they added a $13.95 shipping charge to a $22.xx book. Found a used copy on eBay for the same $22.xx amount, but with free shipping and went with that.

BTW, a "new" copy on eBay was listed at $66.xx. :eek2: :bolt:
    Thanks again
