So this is my first grow. I am trying to leave about growing weed before I move into a house I just bought. Which is 6 months away. So for now I am working with a 30x30x80 inch closet. I'm not looking to cultivate 200 grams a plant or anything like that. Just to learn and play with it and develope my green thumb so to say. When I do get a big grow going I don't really know if I will use led lights or go with the classic proven way. It seems to be more affordable when you get into a larger grow like I'm going to have. But we will see how this goes. Light: Mars II hydro 400w 18/6 during veg Soil: roots organic original mixed with more perlite. Sprinkled in with Grew white shark. I am using party cups then transplanting into smart pots to take advantage of air pruning my roots. Nutrients : roots organic 5ml master program. Strain: Alien OG. I have 5 plants going right now. I only plan on finishing or harvesting 2 plants with non fem seeds for this grow I'm sure I'm going to cause enough stress on these plants learning that I'll prolly get less the 50% female population. Along with hermephs so we will see how that story unfolds So to start this off I began with tryin to make my own soil, which turned out to damn near kill them. I'm still not sure why, but it turned hot on me, and almost wiped out all 5 plants and def was stunting their growth bad. So I got them transplanted into the roots organic. Which I'm surprised all of them lived, considering how much root loss I had. But they have all pulled through and are showing much improvement in their new home. And seem much happier. These first two sprouted up in the same germination disc. And both grew till they had their first sets of 5 fingered leafs before I transplanted which was about 3 days to late with that soil. But their roots were a tangled mess so I had to basically cut them in half with a syringe. Lady 2 Lady 3 While transplanting lady 3. I found another seed that had germinated but never sprouted to the surface. I saw it has a main stem started so I replanted it. The next day I got my led light and helped the seed shell off of it. Looking pretty good. Be nice to see how that grows compaired to the others who started off in my failure soil This last one has had quite a life. Beginners I germinated it on paper towel compared to the others who started in a seedling disc. Well I forgot about it for almost two weeks when I discovered it, it had almost a 3 1/2 inch root coming outta it. I transplanted it in the hot soil before I knew and then 2 days later dropped a light on it snapping the stem, I replanted it and it was good, then the soil turned. This one got hit the hardest with the first two leaves non seedleafs got burnt so bad they are basically nonexistent now. But after the transplant and new light. It's coming back. I named it the revenant because the damn thing just keeps fighting Before the burn After So ya, I get the rest of my grow room equipment tomorrow including my Mylar door to turn this a little more stealthy my ph monitors and humidity thermostat also come tomorrow so I will post of my total grow when it's all set up and ready to go. I started the first feeding program today with 4/5 of them, waiting for the seeding to get a little further along before. I used a really light strength dose for this week and I will use the same dosage next week, with it being a little heavier in buddah grow. Then will follow the program to the t this grow and see what happens Like I said I'm really just trying to learn as much as I can so anything you think or notice please share and I'm def looking for input and information thanks. Just test my ph. Got my tent door installed. My ph was a little high so I lowered it down to the butter zone. That with the added nutrients I hope will help allow these plants to take off now Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Looking good so far with this one This one on the other hand I think was suffering a little from low humidity and to much light, I increase humidity to around 60% and moved the light a couple inches Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I topped it for the first time after the 5th node. Prolly give it two more weeks of vegging the switch to 12/12 Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I have it in a 1 gallon smart pot. Prolly transplant it into a 4 or 5 gallon in about a week. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app

Moved into new grow set up, I kinda have an issue tho. I have one plant pretty much ready to flower and one entering veg. Problem is I only have one light. So would it be best to pull the one plant for 12 hours and put back in the grow room? Any suggestions cause I really wanted to trellis the top but can't if I'm pulling it every 12 hours Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Well decided to do two separate rooms for veg and flower. So this will be a good trial run for a nice top trellis. Got it transplanted into a 5 gallon, really think it will take off now that it has all this room to grow . Big roots equal big fruits I'm told. I was thinking after she shows signs of growth and was happy after the transplant that I would drought her for like 7 to 9 days to see if I can't get those roots stretching and searching for water Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
How do people feel about droughting their baby's to help it in the long run Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Day 63. Still on 18/16 flipping it in two days, no preflower, might turn out to be a wasted male but here is hoping Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
