Ok, so I ordered this: http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EProductDetail.asp?ProductFamilyID=3&FGNumber=E-HC1H151Z I was wondering if you guys thought it would be a good idea to dismantle it so as to place the ballast seperately from the bulb. That way it would heat up less. Is this worth my time to dismantle, or would heat be not a problem with something as low as 150 watts?
I dont see 150w being a big issue, However you could screw something up while dismantling. Try it out as it comes and if your not satisfied with it, then mess with it. A wise mine once said, "If it aint broke, don't fix it."
I made my 150 a remote ballast and it made all the diffrence. I have to say that thatballastgetspretty damn hot. Make sure you know what your doing before you just rip your light apart. If you decide to go the RB route let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
