I posted a previous thread on compost, and I got a great link to a thread by a guy named Lougrew! or something and it had a ton of great info. The one thing it didnt have though, was how often to water your compost? He said to keep it moist but how moist is that? My compost pile was built yesterday right in my backyard using Lou's method and I loaded it down with water and kept the majority of the water in by folding the black plastic so it wouldnt seep into the ground. So, should I just run my hose out to it every day and load it with water? Once a week? And, I should have enough compost soil by March-April to fill a few 5 gallon buckets right? Or no? Thanks.
id say depending on your pile water it once a week for a couple mins. turn it atleast once a week especially if it is 4x4x4or bigger.
