I have no idead if 2" for a cfl is too close but it sure sounds like it, that one big leaf is a baby leaf, (first to sprout) the main leaves are the tiny ones that are developing, should be ok. Might wanna check on the closeness of your light or get a red too. 2700K.
Well, the CFL can be close as long as heat isn't an issue. You dont want the seedling to stretch, so keep it relatively close.
Right, thats why i have my cfl close so it wouldnt stretch and kill itself.. I don't need a 2700 red bulb.. im not planning to go to flowering yet lol.
You don't even need it during flowering I used 2700k from seed and grew a 4 footer. I have 8 bulbs and it doesn't get above 85. 1 bulb is not enough so I hope there's more.
im only using one bulb this is my only plant im germinating 3 others right now they havent sprouted yet.. i need some fresh seeds
2700k is the proper spectrum for budding they only prefer red light. But it does not matter since you have about a fifth of the lumens you'll need.
oh well alright so it would hurt to have a clamp lamp with a cfl 2700k? and a 6500k blue on at the same time?
To give you an idea of how much you need. I Have: 2 26 watts (3400 lumens) 2 46 watts (5400 lumens) 1 64 watt (4400 lumens) That equals 13,200 lumens for 1 plant versus the 2700 lumens you're trying to grow one plant with. You should read up on some threads about lighting there are lots of them.
Thanks man. I'm just updating with pics.. i have this pic thing on a roll haha.. Im looking at day 3 compared to now and its crazy how fast they grow.
