I purchased a fogger by nutramist and am planning on using it to fog my grow room to help humidity issues will it be okay with my lighting or will I need to design it so that it only fogs my ebb and flo table I'm running 2x2 ebb n flo 2ft t5 by sunblaze 8 6500k lamps Max -can with carbon filter for exhaust and inline fan for intake ventilation ro/di filter and 1/10 hp chiller Hana grocheck Tds/ph meter
I have been using these for several years and with great results. Not for humidity control, but for growing. The caveats: 1. The OEM transformer is junk, get a replacement/spare. 2. It is not a case of the "more the merrier". A single unit will "boil off" the active element in the soup after about a week (10 gallons). 3. Unless you have a "captive" element, if air is allowed to circulate, your fogger action is worthless. 4. If you are using distilled or r/o water the "boil off" may happen sooner then later. I have found a cup of Perrier works wonders in that area, so I guess the mineral content in the water replaces the boiled off element.
Here is a picture of a fogger that failed. It shorted out. What I want to show is the reaction the chrome plating had with the soup. The soup is so caustic it eats most metals. I am looking for a fogger in a stainless housing.
