    Hello,
    Here is my situation.
I am not a smoker or drinker.

I have been around marijuana about 10 times now and have gotten high properly twice before. Both times I had full on panic attacks for the first time ever - sweaty hands, racing heart, troubles breathing, anxiety, paranoia, everyones head got massive if they came too close to my eyes??, everything I touched was so sensitive and felt weird, and i basically thought I was going to die. So I vowed never to smoke ever again.

Three nights ago however, my friends were in the garage smoking up, but forgot to put a towel on the bottom of the door to block the smoke from coming into the house, where I was innocently sitting eating my dinner. I could smell it but I did not think it would have any effect on me. Two hours later, out of no where as I went to fall asleep, I went to itch my face and it felt very weird. I sat up and knew then it had hit me. Even though I wasn't even smoking it myself, just inhaling the smoke from a room away? I must be INCREDIBLY sensitive to it :|

Thought it would go away with sleep. Nope.

Day 1 - feeling that I am high but I realise my mind and thoughts are normal its my body. everything I touch feels fake?? - don't know when I'm touching things - like it takes a second to process touch and its in slow mo? I have very slow reaction time, racing heart, body swaying, tingling/pins and needles throughout body but mostly in my hands, EXTREMELY bad co-ordination in my hands, drop absolutely everything, really hard to open doors and do up jeans etc.

Day 2 - my "body high" settles down a bit, tingling/pins and needles has increased a lot in my hands and now feeling it in a lot more areas of my body - but its on and off with how intense it is. It's very frustrating and painful at times.

Now, day 3. Pins and needles EXTREMELY bad in my hands and very frequently throughout my body, sometimes to the point I let out a cry/scream/profanity when I touch things. Sometimes when Im not moving at all, theres just complete tingling all throughout my body even in my face and brain. I can't have anyone touch me and almost everything hurts to touch, ESPECIALLY trying to put my hands in my pockets (holy fuck it hurts), putting on clothes, opening doors, touching my hair, towels and just soft things in general - feels like mini electrical shocks. However there are some materials and textures that don't hurt at all or not very much (like plastic and wood)

I do have bad anxiety and have had issues with nerves in my arms/hands for 6 years on and off (cubital tunnel & carpal tunnel). But this is different. I am 1000000000% sure this is the effects from marijuana. It seems I have an extremely low tolerance and I have googled around "tingling, pins and needles, marijuana days after" etc etc. and this is the most useful blog I have found.... It feels a bit better knowing that although this seems to be quite uncommon, I am not the only one. I really do hope this goes away in a few days, I have been to scared to drive due to slow reaction time /coordination/pain, and today at my work was hell for me, I have to touch textiles (pillows, bath mats, towels, sheets everything! all day long). I don't want to go to the doctor because I know they won't be much help, just tell me its anxiety, it's in my head (like a lot of people on the internet are saying to people with any of these symptoms from smoking pot), and that I'll just have to wait it off. These feelings are 100% real, it is horrible [IMG]

Thank you for compiling this forum...

  2. I have back problems and arthritis and this has happened too me also but not after the effects wore off.I have tried different strains and found that the ones with no cbd are causing this. The strains with high thc and no cbd I do not like.smoked a strain called popcorn out of texas a few years ago and it was awesome for me but everyones different currently seeing a rhumatolagist and a nurolagist .hope this helps someone cause chronic pain is a bitch.

    Hello again,
just thought I would let you know that it finally ended up going away after 8 days!
From about the 5th day on, it started getting better.
    I am a girl, 21 btw.
If you're reading this and going through the same thing - hang in there, it WILL go away!! I didn't find anything that worked to lessen the symptoms, besides trying to avoid certain materials :/
    Anyway,
thank you once again for putting this together. It definitely seems to be an unreported side effect.
I came across this in my googling and found it quite interesting: http://www.ehealthme.com/ds/marijuana/loss+of+sensation,+numbness+and+tingling,+paresthesias,+sensory+loss,+tingling+and+numbness
"On Apr, 12, 2015: 1,087 people reported to have side effects when taking Marijuana. Among them, 5people (0.46%) have Loss Of Sensation, Numbness And Tingling, Paresthesias, Sensory Loss, Tingling And Numbness."

and wowww what the hell, I just realised it says "on april 12, 2015" - that was the day after I posted originally on this website!? weird? o_O

  4. One does not get high ''inhaling fumes from another room''  and i would go see a doctor about those panic attacks since cannabis does not actually cause them but certainly does makes certain conditions and illnesses surface.

    Hi Panda,

I am 100% sure this is from inhaling the smoke, the whole house was filled with it.

I came back to this forum as I am now experiencing it again - but this time it is only tingling/numbess. I hung around my friends who smoked the same stuff late Friday night, and it hit me the next day.

This is now my second day of it, but I am not as panicked as last time as I know it will go away. Still, its very uncomfortable, can't put my hands in my fucking pockets especially gah.

Panic attacks after smoking marijuana is quite a common thing actually. I have read a lot about it - do a simple google search, there are many articles and a lot of information on it. My friend also told me she has them when she smokes 'hydro', but doesn't get it when she smokes bush.
I am not ruling out that I shouldn't go to a doctor though, as it may very well be bringing out a certain unknown condition/illness.

What it comes down to I guess, different people respond to marijuana differently. You can't say what it doesn't do just because you have not experienced it yourself. I wish I felt the good side of it and had a great time like my friends do, but unfortunately I don't.

  6. Well Mj just enhances everything. If you have a panic attack its because you panicking a little and now mj just enhanced your panic attack. Plain and simple if weed isnt for you stop smoking it.

Of course I have stopped smoking it after the panic attacks.

I am simply just hanging around people who are still smoking it. So looks like I won't be anywhere near them when they do it next time lol.

  8. Did you even read what i wrote?

  9. you need to go see a doctor. start with psychiatric health.

normally this is the part where i say "jokes aside" and then go on to give some sort of direction or advice. this time i wasn't joking. more then it being something in your head {ya man, it can be and probably is} you need to take into account of how strong and potent the ganja is today as compared to 10, 15, hell even 20 years ago. i am sure that had something to do with it. go easy next time. stick with one bong toke and wait 10 minutes to see how you feel.its pretty stupid and ignorant to rip a gram of high grade doobage to your head unless you have a tolerance and are experienced with said ganja. this is how people get in to trouble, get caught and lose their freedom. whether it is the law, your parents or some other fucked up shit that is now dictating your life to you.

i also notice you mentioned some sort of heightened sensitivity to marijuana. you need to take that shit serious. some people are susceptible to psychiatric problems when smoking ganja and it some how goes ape shit out of control and causes the person to come down with full blown mental problems. the kind that need the attention of doctors and terrible medications to keep your crazy ass in check.

to be honest with you, this is the kind of behavior that causes people to have that "reefer madness" attitude towards "the devil weed" and that is the kind of shit that fucks it up for the rest of us. chill, go easy and remember it is about having fun. it isn't about smoking as much ganja as you possibly can in the shortest amount of time possible. don't you you all get out and do stuff when your high? hike? throw a Frisbee around? make paper airplanes? anything? you should because you're missing a pretty cool aspect to the ganja scene. i get irritated and tired tired of being cooped up and looking at the walls when i am high.

  10. I got weed from a clinic a long time ago that I now realize was slightly exacerbating my problems. As soon as I decided to jump around and try different dispensaries, the problem went away. I went back a long time later to the old dispensary and felt it again! It feels like an itchy kind of nerve sensation, like youre being poked by a blade of grass, and I also remember feeling random hot flash sensations.
I sincerely believe it is a contaminant in the marijuana. I'm not sure what it is exactly.
It will happen in all forms of weed, from bud to hash to edibles. It seems to have the worst effect in edible form.
My best guess is it is something they sell at a lot of hydro shops that some growers are adding to their plants.

  11. Lol high for 3 days from being in the next room while people smoke. I'm sorry for anyone that has shitty experiences with weed but that's why I can't take any of it seriously...

I think most/all are just sensitive and paranoid.

My legs tingle right now, I don't care...

  12. Dude this 1 time I smoked weed and then my cell phone rang....... it had to been the weed.

  13. Here I am coming out of that woodwork. Thanks Google. This has been happening to me since I started smoking weed probably 10 years ago. It does tend to last a few days, which sort of weirds me out.

I get it mostly in my legs, it's a diffuse tingly buzzy feeling that isn't painful per se, but pretty unpleasant. Kind of simultaneously feels hot and cold. The stimulus that makes it most pronounced is relieving pressure on my legs, e.g. if I had my legs crossed and uncrossed them, any area where they were previously in contact gets a flash of tingles.

I really want to know the mechanism!! I wonder if marijuana could possibly deplete your B12 or another vitamin and cause lingering paresthesias that way. My other hypothesis was that may THC interacts with receptors on nerve endings in such a way that makes them more reactive. There are different receptor types for different kinds of sensation (temperature, light pressure, deep pressure, vibration, etc) so maybe it could be some interaction with pressure receptors?

Possibly related: occasionally I will get weed from a batch that just doesn't agree with me to the point where I feel extremely ill, dizzy, tingly all over, for the duration of the high. (I don't really keep track of strains and stuff but I could definitely associate it with one of the three strains of weed I had the last time I experienced this...like I just had to get rid of that one baggie.) I wonder if the peripheral paresthesia and the extreme malaise may be more and less severe points on a spectrum....

  14. I started using medical marijuanna after being diagnosed with a severe case of symetrical axonal sensorimotor polynueropathy with severe restless leg syndrome. The sensations you describe are precisely the sensations that describe the ongoing sensations (in a mild form) of neuropathy (neuro = nerves, pathy = problem). I can tell you without hesitation that neuropathy in individuals that have it (many do not realize what it is or are embarassed) is very easily triggered by different strains of the extract I use. Particularly Sativa strains for me can trigger severe neuropathy symptoms and can even be contraindicated for the condition.

This is not just a slight tingle when it comes on for me, as it can be agonizing just as the disease is for me when it is not treated at all. The sensations you describe are a neuropathy. Be warned though that even an MD will have no more idea than what this old farm boy does on why it was triggered in yourself. It could have been thhe dope. It could have been the Twinkees you powered down after. It could have been a cup you drank out of that was contaminated. Since marijuanna has documented use going back to Erik The Healer of Rome, and since that documentation over thousands of years makes no mention of neuropathy other than marijuannas ability to treat the symptoms of it then I would suggest you had transient neuropathy owing to a temporary condition.

If I was an MD I would charge you $95 now...

  15. Moved to LA about 9 months ago, started smoking casually 6 months ago (every other night). Met up with a childhood friend recently and he took me to his buddies house and warned that "if you smoke there weed you will be higher than ever" I called BS. Sure enough, 1 snap w/ a little tobacco sprinkled on top and I get the overwhelming tingling sensation. Identical to 3/4 these posts. When bad can't feel hands, legs, and face.. So bizarre. It's been 2 days since and I smoke bothe nights after. Tingling persisting so I have to call it quits. Very strange/sad. Can't even enjoy smoking anymore :(

  16. Hello everyone, i have had the same symptoms after taking this hash syrup on October 20th, 2016. It is now Friday Decemeber, 30, 2016 and the feeling still haven't worn off yet fully. I sometimes feel the tingly feeling in my hand or feet, followed by a 5 second delay. I am a 15 year old boy, and skinny (might give an insight into why I am feeling this way), and I hope to have this feeling fully gone. After reading all these posts, I am wondering if any of the side effects of numbness and delayedness are gone for you guys now. Please reply, I just need someone to tell me that this feeling does indeed go away and doesn't stay with me my entire life. Thank you.

  17. Hello everyone! I smoked 2 weeks ago a joint with my friends. Everything was cool nothing wrong untill the next day. I woke up and I was feeling so damn high that I couldn't drive, couldn't do anything. I thought was because I slept like 4 hours and I was tired so after some hours being high as fuck I went to bed and slept for 8 hours but surprise after I woke up I was feeling daaamn high. I have read so many things on the internet and most of people said that "it's in your head", BUT fuck that man wasn't in my head I was pure high. So it kept me like this for 9-10 days untill FULL recovery. I was thinking I will feel my entire life like that I was so scared. So my advice from the man who experienced this: You won't feel like this forever; The feeling is pure from weed and you just need to get rid of it from your body; Drink ONLY water, try to exercise and try to don't think about it ( it's hard as fuck to don't think about it I know but just try); You need company, try to get a friend or someone and talk all night with him/her and even sleep with someone in bed because anxiety will fuck you up so you need company 24/24, even talking with someone on skype you MUST socialise. Also the most important part and where I personally FAILED: Try to "enjoy" even for a little bit by watching movies or playing games because I was thinking about it non-stop and it was driving me crazy. So that's pretty much it. The first 5 days were the must fucked up and after that I was feeling better each day untill after 10 days I was feeling perfectly normal. Now I must say I hate the fact that weed made me feeling like this because I LOVE WEED, but now I am too scared to smoke again so most probably I won't smoke again for atleast an entire year. I want to find someone who experienced the same thing and I want to know if he/she smoked again after that experience but couldn't find anyone yet. If you experienced the same thing and smoked again please reply because I want to know if this thing will happen again next time I smoke.

  18. pfffft no pins and needles are gonna stop me from gettin high......

  19. Why did you take the hash syrup? Where did you get it from?
