Since search is temp disabled, I was wondering if anybody else has experienced a 'tinkling' sound in their Son Agro bulbs. The bulb is my first Son Agro and is brand new (430W) and I don't want to destroy my ballast or void the warranty on the bulb if this isn't normal. Has anyone else had experience with this bulb making noises when it is tipped or wiggled? TIA
It's normal. The noise is louder if the bulb is burnt. If it's busted you would see chunks of metal sometimes rolling around inside the bulb(not every time) you should be fine. I've got several 400 bulbs at the house. They all make noise. Like tinker bell? Hahahaha
Thanks - I thought to swing by Home Depot and all their HPS and MH high-power lamps make the same kind of noise. Had me worried for a little while but all's cool now!
