Hey fellow enthesuiests, I looking into starting a first time set up. I'm have a very small enclosure though where ventalation is going to be an issue. I'm looking into one 150 watt HPS light with reflector. I hear that HPS lights can reduce heat and power usage. How will poor ventalation effect my output? Is the heat from the light or the lack of fresh air the bigger downside? What will i notice in my plants if the ventalation is insufficient? Thank you for any advice you can provide, Celt
Heat is an issue, but moreover, fresh air is key to getting your plants co2 AND fresh oxygen. You see, roots like oxygen, makes them healthy. If there is any way to bring fresh air into your space, your girls will love you long time.........put a thermometer in there and if you are at 78- 80 degrees or so you won't need to cool your light, but still try to bring in air.
