I just watered my new clones for the 2nd time, day 4 of veg and one of the pots seems to have clear/white crystals where the soil dried. I'm using Dr earth organic soil and was wondering what this could be?
Could be salt buildup. It only did this after you mixed the soil with your amendment? Or did you just add it to the top to water it in?
This is just the soil out of the bag (dr earths organic potting mix) after I water it with just plain 17ppm RO water. The owner at my hydro shop said it could be the micro fungi that is in the potting soil and I shouldn't worry to much about it.
That would make sense those fungi are good little suckers that will help a lot with nutrient absorption (they break down the organic nutes into usable forms for the plant)
