hi i am new to the mmj growing and i just built my grow room its 2ft-3ft-6ft, its in my camper shower and my buddy gave my a 1000w light and ballast. i turned it on to do a dry run and all the ventilation i have is a 4" duct booster fan (small metal cheap ones you can get at the hardware store) and the temp climb well over 80 degrees f. i was thinking that i either have to big of a light or im not getting enough ventilation or both. i was thinking about using the duct fan for intake and getting a 170cfm fan for exhaust and then getting a 600w set up. i need help as i have four clones rooting now and am trying to get the main grow room dialed in before they go in. any help would be greatly appreciated.
A 1000w is too big for that space. I don't think you will be able to cool it. You will struggle with temperature with a 600w too, but maybe you can exhaust enough hot air and pull in enough cool air with a 4" inline fan, if not a 6".
