If you plan on playing any recent games i would suggest upgrading to at least a gtx560 ti. Gigabyte and evga make them for under $200 and they can handle bf3. If you aren't planning on doing any serious gaming, though, i wouldn't go with an i7. A high end i5 will do you just fine. Edit: if you do go with the 560 ti, make sure your psu has at least two 4 pin pci power connectors.
If you planing to buy ne computer than i would suggest to buy Dell laptop, beacuse it is amazing. It is not much costable, and its battery life is very good.
I have a beef with dells. They have a bad history of unreliable / cheap hardware and loads of bloatware. I hate to sound like im advertising, since i post about them so much, but if youre looking for a good laptop for a good price, Asus makes the best. Lowest failure rate of all manufacturers, no bloatware, and priced reasonably if not cheaply for what you get.
