  1. Most of my 20 seedlings(2-3 weeks old) leaves are turning yellow and drooping, some of them bad and getting worse. What is causing this? They are NOT currently on any Nutes. I just switched them from Burpee Tray cells to 5" Jiffy Pots. Please help me.

1st, Could this be from over or under watering them? Im not doin anything else and theyre young so I dont know what else it could be.

2nd, At this age how many times a day(s) should I be watering these plants? The soil seems to be drying up very fast. I took them off the heating pad too.

3rd, My water Ph is 7.77 so Im goin 1st thing tomm to get something to bring it down. Any suggestions on what to get?

4th, Should I add some Nitrogen and/or Magnesium? If yes, how much per day or week? And what is the ratio to H2o?

Thanx for any answers, I would really, really appreciate any help to save my 1st grow.

  2. yellow leaves means it needs some nitrogen

  3. Ok. Please bare w/ me as this is my 1st grow and Im still still learning. Is there a certain supplement I should get that contains nitrogen and is ideal for correcting my problem? I was also told to get something that contains ONLY Phospurus & Potassium so this is why Im getting confused. I was just reading about Dolomite Lime, do you thinkthis will help correct the soils PH and therefore help w/ the yellow drooping leaves? i have a full bottle of FloraNova w/ a 7-4-10 solution(Nitrogen, Phosphate, & Potash, would this work? Thanx for the response I really appreciate it.

  4. Also, I know it depends on the soil but can you tell me on average how often I should be watering my plants both w/ reg. distilled water and when/if I add Nutes or another type of supplement? Thanx

  5. If you are watering everyday then you are probably watering too much. Let the soil dry out a little on top. Feel down with your finger an inch or two. If it's still moist don't water. But if it feels pretty dry go ahead and water. That's what I do. And if your using distilled water, you need to add something like CaMg+ (or something similar from another company) to the water. Distilled lacks necessary ingrediants. So you need to add a suplement like mentioned above.
The yellowing COULD be a lack of N. I think it depends on what kind of soil your using. If your using FFOF I would think you wouldn't have that problem so quickly. But if your using a soil that's not high in N then it COULD be the soil. If you decide to give them nutes go very light at first.
I am just learning all this stuff myself dude and just thought I would pass along what I have learned.
