Ok, so me and my buddy are going to growing in his basement of this apartment, it is kind of cool down there but not damp or anything. I have absolutely no idea where to start or anything, would someone be willing to type up all the supplies I need and what I need to build/setup. Thank you. Its greatly appreciated. BTW/ The room is about 20x20 and about 6'5'' tall.
do some research for yourself, there is an abundance of information here on every type of grow and what you need. dont just ask someone else to do all the work for you. go to the absolute beginners section and look through the stickies and shit and you will start to get an idea. good luck!

You need grow lights. What kind depends on how much you wanna grow. if you are worried about smell you need something to control it(carbon scrubber). you need good soil... you need lotsa shit
as annoyed by your vague question as i am, i feel generous. however i'm gonna answer your question with a bunch of hypothetical questions and that should send you in the right direction to do your own research. plants need a couple basic things. Environment (temp., humidity), light, co2, oxygen, nutrients. I would approach it in this order: figure out how much you wanna grow and look at other peoples grow journals for ideas. figure out what type of system you want to use (hydro, soil). If hydro, are you gonna do bubblebucket, DWC, ebb & flow etc... Or if soil are you gonna go organic? Are you gonna have one main grow, or a perpetual grow, or semi perpetual? how much light will you need for the plants? What kind of lights will you use? depending on how big your lights will be, how much ventilation will you need? How much ventilation will you need to provide the plants with enough co2? How are you gonna make sure the temperature and humidity stay within a reasonable range? Will you need an air conditioner, humidifier, de-humidifier? I'd say once you can answer those questions, you're ready to grow and you've done enough research. Then you can start moving onto more tid-bit stuff like carbon filters and co2 tanks and everything.
