Need some car audio advice

  1. Hello City,
Well recently(about a month or so) I purchased a new vehicle-it's a 2000 ford ranger xlt. I need to put some better speakers and stereo but I don't want to spend a crazy amount of money. I want it to sound better than stock (obviously) and don't want to put subs in it. Just enough to make it a bit more enjoyable.

    Any Advice?

  2. Walmart....get one of they're Pioneer radios and Pioneer speakers.

  3. pm nushaganazed he is pretty knowledable on that subject

  4. your best options in my opinion, are get a newer head unit. There are cheap alpine ones at best buy right now, under 200 bucks, if u dont know howt os intall them, have them do it, but its super easy to do. Thats pretty cheap, for GREAT head units. Other recomendable ones are, eclipse, pioneer, kenwood. Dual sucks, sony sucks. period.

For speakers. just replace the door ones and add a small class a/b amp onto it as well. that will increase your sq and spl tremendously. get a set of 6.5 speakers that are about 150 bucks, put a 200 watt rms amp onto them(round figure, just guessing, depends on the speakers) hell id even go through ebay for everything but the speakers

all of this should cost 400 or less man. good luck.

  5. Thanks nushaganazed, def +rep for that.
