  1. Hi, im Just beginning at growing and i need some help with the wires.. I use 8 arctic alpine 64 pc fans to cool my cobs but i just dont know which cellphone charger i need to get and how i connect them to it. They all have div amps and voltage and its really confusing to me. Does anybody knows what kind of charger i need and which wires i need to connect from the pc fan cause i got 4 (yellow, blue, Green and Black)

    Thanks!

  2. A computer fan requires 12 volts...
    or used to.
    A cell phone charger is... 5 volts? 3.5 volts?

  3. Can i use a 9v cellphone charger with 1,67A to connect 4 of em togheter?

  4. Perhaps.
    But I imagine that they'd spin kind of slowly.
    A fan requires twelve volts to operate properly.
    The more fans, the greater the amperage draw.
    I'd venture (I don't DO lights) that you want a twelve volt power supply.
    Perhaps someone will be along to correct me.

  5. I concur.
    Computer fans are usually 12v. Running them at lower voltages will cause them to spin slower. I'd research the fans and find out how big of a driver you need.

    Actually, you could probably just use an old computer power supply if you don't have the cash for a fancy driver.

    I just found something;
    AC110V-220V to DC12V 30A 360W Switching Power Supply Driver Transformer for LED Strip Light
    banggood.com $20 US.
    110v - 220v AC in 12v DC out
    (That's about one fifth the size of my power supply)
