Hi GC! Back in it, feel better about sharing these days. Dear old friends, hello again! @ New friends: nice to meet you, and welcome!!! Starting a thread to periodically share updates with the flower room. I like to dig through seeds looking for uncommon, new (actually old strains haha) and other interesting girls. Here in California, yes, we have access to all those 'quintuple diesel alphabet soup purple silly name here cookies' clones BUT I am interested in checking out new stuff. Indica is queen here in CA... but instead I look to sativa leaning hybrids, sativa, and just different "stuff" haha These days I have a small unorganized perpetual flower tent: 315 Cmd light Soil - ffof or black magic with some amendments like wormcastings, kelp, alfalfa, guano, etc. 3gal smarties or 1gal pots (for the crazy girls) Currently digging through Csg, mns, lots of ACE coming up, bhodis seeds etc Pics in next post! My Connoisseur gen. SSSDH run last harvest, 3 girls shown here from same pack #1 #2 - my keeper selection #3 - wife's choice
Did you list them in order? Is the last one the Malawi? It looks super landrace. Where did you get it? #patientsovercups
Yeah, thanks for asking! She is from ACE seeds, a central American line pollinated by a reversed malawi line. Kind of a landrace type cross, lots of vigor, but they are both worked lines from their respective origins! Both lines started as land race genetics, then worked a few generations to adapt to modern growing conditions by the crew at ACE. I have some more ace beans germinating: Golden Tiger (thai x same malawi), panama line (mother of the pictured cross above), Vietnamese sativa x Chinese indica, and some old old beans: veitnam sativa x thai if they even germinate. I'm aware these types of plants aren't everyone's cup of tea. The road less traveled sometimes has cool rewards, fingers crossed
