Say the word And I'll be gone Because I surely can't stay here, So I'll go off into the world Though it's a scary place out there. My heart bleeds to hug you, But should I even dare, When all you wish to offer me Is a cold heart & a stare. But that stare soon grows wet With tears given by a thief Who has provided nothing for you, Aside from lonesome hours and grief. If my apologies were worth anything, I'd give them all to you, But as we both can clearly see, My sorrow is nothing new.
