My laptop died, want to recover hard drive

  1. My gateway laptop, which lasted surprising long considering it was a gateway, finally died. Must have been all the porn or the pubes stuck in the under fan, but something killed it.

Anyways, long story short, I want to recover my laptop hard drive. I took it apart and disconnected it from the laptop. I let my brother karate kick the rest in half which was a bad idea due to my home having thick carpets and screen shards went everywhere. I have since then purchased a new laptop and want to somehow connect it to the old naked hard drive.

Is there some sort of case they sell that plugs into the bare laptop hard drive and plug it into my working laptop?

hope this helps....i need to do the same thing. if you search on amazon you can usually find the converters for less than $20

the link explains how to do it for a PC harddrive but the instructions can be done for laptop harddrives as well...you just have to make sure you get the right converter
