Hey guys I'm new to this so any advice or feedback is totally appreciated and welcomed. I can't go back and change the pictures I took with the LEDs on but I promise I will shut them off and use a regular light from now on(gonna be a lot of rookie mistakes here) Early September - Germinated on paper towels Sept. 6th grown in soil for a week September 13 - Seedlings placed in DWC under 1500 watt LED in closet 20/4 light/dark Using GeneralHydroponics nutes I had 500 ppm and usually 6.3 pH (pH down daily to 5.5 and it always rises back to 6.0-6.3) I didnt do enough research I thought a clear tote would be cool.. I find out a few days later algae isnt cool. September 25 - Moved to basement, closet was too warm. Sept 29th - I took a picture of the larger plant October 5th - both plants I attempted to top both plants here is a picture of one of them.. October 7th - was worried about it getting too cold come winter time, I went and bought 6 sheets of 2 inch thick foam board insulation and built a 6 ft tall 6x7 grow room. October 8 - Some root rot / green algae so I Switched to a light proof tote and 24 hour light. October 9th - So I'm pretty sure I stunted the growth between having the lights too close and the little bit of root rot I had(on top of trying to top them), I will have hydroguard in the system tomorrow and I already flushed and soaked/massaged the roots in a h2o2 solution.. on top of being in a better tote, I cleaned everything with alcohol and got new air lines and stones.. basically eradicated any bacteria that could have been around except for the lava rocks in the net pots but I did dip them pretty good in clean water. pH: 5.3 TDS: 850 24 hours of light Sprayers on 24/7
The pH is up to 5.8 today, ppm is 840 My water ppm is 180 right out the faucet.. Anyway here's a pic of them in the better tote.
Oct. 13th added hydroguard Roots look great now all sorts of new growth very white and pearly. Oct. 16th - topped both plants multiple times, also I started a S.O.G. right next to the dwc.. For more info on the NFT; Aerated NFT
I've made a LOT of progress since the last post.. Today I installed 2 QB288's 4000k.. here's some pictures. Over the past month I scrogged the two main plants and started a 12/12 from seed right next to the larger ladies.
Buds are coming along nicely.. I'm thinking between Christmas and new years for the shorter girl in the front and a week later for the tall one.
