My first grow - daily journal w/ pics

Hey what's up everyone. This is my first time growing the beautiful marijuana. Give me pointers, ask me questions, anything you want. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy it

 

Oh yeah there's pics . I got 25 days worth. Im posting them one at a time, so its gonna take me a few minutes. I'm doing this on my phone.

 

3/1/10 - day 1 - germinate seeds (2 seeds). Placed them in a cup of water and will take them out tomorrow.

 

3/2/10 - day 2 - this is about 15 hours after I put the seeds in the cup. The seeds sank to the bottom so I took them out and set them in between a wet paper towel. I placed it on a plate and covered it with a plastic bag. I'll check it daily until they open up to show some roots.

 

3/3/10 - day 3 - I checked the seeds and they already cracked open exposing the root so I placed them in my grow cubes (sure-to-grow). I also have another seed that I started about a week ago that's already in a cube. I didn't wait for it to crack open its shell when I put it in the cube so I don't even know if it started to grow yet.

 

3/4/10 - day 4 - I placed the cubes under a couple daylight flourescent bulbs that are set to a 20 hr on / 4 hr off schedule.

3/5/10 - day 5 - I made a new container for the cubes so now I can hold 8 instead of 3 . I put an air stone in the container too so the roots can get a lot of oxygen. Plant #1 has fully sprouted. Its just beginning to show its first true set of leaves.

3/6/10 - day 6 - plant #2 is starting to pop out of the cube.

Ok let's try this again.

3/6/10 - day 6 - plant #2 is starting to pop out of the cube.

 

3/7/10 - day 7 - plant #1 is getting pretty big. I measured it up and its about 1 and 1/2 inches. Plant #2 has fully popped itself out. The seed's still hanging on the top of the leaves too. I'm throwing a few more seeds in a glass of water to germinate them, 5 to be exact

 

3/8/10 - day 8 - one of the seeds sank to the bottom of the cup so I threw it into one of my grow cubes and into my little grow box. The others should be sinking soon and going to the same place. Plant #2 dropped its shell. The first set of its true leaves is clearly visible now too.

 

3/9/10 - day 9 - Some words of advice to you. Don't handle the seeds in a bathroom because they could fall in the sink... and that's what I did lol. So I put all 4 seeds in the cubes and placed them into my box. That makes 7 little weed plants all together

 

Day 9 still - I took a picture of the lid from underneath too. The roots are easily twice the size as the topd. Here's what they look like

 

3/12/10 - day 12 - plant #1 is starting to show its second set of leaves. ********I ordered a few seeds online last night. I should be getting them in a couple weeks. I can't wait*********

 

3/13/10 Day 13 - I worked on my grow room quite a bit last night. Its just about finished now. Plants #1 and 2 are still lookin good. I can also see the roots dangling from the cube from those two and one other one that's trying to pop itself above the surface.

 

3/14/10 - Day 14 - still growing

 

3/15/10 - Day 15 - Still growing

 

3/16/10 - day 16 - one of the new plants shot up out of the cube so fast. The other 2 are looking awesome still. I'm about to get a metal halide light bulb. And I have nutrients for the plants too. The plants will grow so much faster once I start using the new light and nutrients.

 

3/20/10 - Day 20 - Everything looking good. The roots are looking awesome too
