My dad has parkinsons

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by 2920, Jan 26, 2014.

  1. Hi everyone

This is my first post and i am very happy to be on this very informative forum, any ways back to my first question, does anyone have any experiences regarding if medical marijuana is beneficial for a Parkinson's patient? my dad has been suffering from Parkinson's for the past decade and he has a lot of involuntarily body movements and sometimes he feels having anxiety and sometimes he has insomnia, none of the pills that the doctor has prescribed for him has worked, or some have lots of side effects. i would really appreciate if anyone has any information or experiences that they can share with me

    Thanks

  2. Hi hon, I'm Granny, one of the local "know-it-alls". I have a collection of medical studies on cannabis and the cannabinoids that I share with folks. The Parkinson's section is a couple pages of links, so it's a bit too long to post up.  Here's a sample of what my List is like-

Having a copy of my List makes researching a lot simpler. If you would like a free copy, check out the bottom of my sig and send me an email. Or after you make a few more posts, you could PM me your email address. Either way, I usually have the List to you within 24 hours. (I live in the mountains and we have had power outages lasting for days during storms.)

Listen to your elders. Good lookin out Granny!
I suffer Cluster Migraines... anxiety is part of any debilitating disease, as well as frustration and anger. Cannabis helps with all of that. Sorry about your father, good luck. You've come to the right place for info.
