Should I mod my car to look like an undercover police car?

  1. As far as it being a crown vid or impalla, i have seen several Dodge police cars (Two neons and one very smooth looking intrepid) as well as a camaro. So its not just a ford thing. I remember one day (It was actualy about two months ago) i was at K-Mart getting some gas and there was this lady with a converted Squad Car. It was a Crown Vic painted a tangerine orange collor with tinted windows, a spotlight, and cruiser wheels. I thought it was something awesome.

  2. yeah, i have seen a number of different mods of cop cars ranging from an durrango to a F150 ford lightning but for the most part the imp and crown vic dominate the cop car spectrum. i dont think i have seen undercovers in anything but impallas and crown vics -unless its like a black tahoe or 'burban for some official use, but really if you want to fool people there is no beating the crown vic in terms of scare appeal.

i am always concious of crown vic headlights in my rearview while driving. i usually just about shit myself when i discover those ominous lights trailing me, they are easy to spot and very unique except when your really high its harder to distinguish and every car starts looking like a cop.

  3. In the state of Washington they use everything from Volvo's, Subaru's, Expedition's & Ford Escort's. Their policy is they use what they seize. Kinda sucks because itll be such a surprise when your pulled over.

  4. Don't be that jerk that screws around at parties. Besides that, you're good.

  5. i was thinking about doing that

  6. My friend used to have a shitload of strobes and lights in his car, man. Just don't get caught :D

Get a wigwag (alternating) for the headlights and reverse lights, blues mounted behind the grille, blues mounted on the back dash, and a blue bar / suctioncup light for the dash. All controlable by switches under the dash, of course. Wire up a cheap, shitty car alarm to a switch as well that way you can get the quick 'boooop's and stuff by flicking it quickly. Boy did we have fun with that :)

  7. the lights are definetely legal to own, but i wouldn't try and get through traffic with them.

when i was little (10 or so) i had a babysitter who was also a EMT and i used to help him every day put new lights in the grill/on the dash/etc, so the lights are definetely legal to own.
