Yo, if you're into Death Cab, you should pick up their new album, Transatlanticism. It's amazing. Also, you might want to check out The Shins. They've released only two albums (Oh, Inverted World! and Chutes Too Narrow), but they have a little Death Cab's sound mixed with a pinch of Britpop flava'. Ha. I just realized that you were asking what EVERYONE ELSE listens to. I'm not thinking very well right now. Draw whatever conclusions you want from that.
